This is extremely relevant to me today, I presented a performance art piece about how women are simultaneously made to feel ashamed of their bodies and also told that their sexuality and bodies are meant for the consumption of men. I did some research on the gross and degrading euphemisms used for vagina and some of the worst ones (stinking meat hole, sweaty burrito, fur burger) were from a website that caters to the sexist frat boy sense of humor. The misogyny directed at women’s bodies is just appalling and infuriating…I’ll probably post a video of the performance later.
